Rich Dark Cocoa Whiskey

Aged in ex-bourbon barrels, this 8.4% stout picks up layers of vanilla, oak and whiskey warmth along the way. Roasted malt brings notes of bitter cocoa, dark chocolate and fresh coffee, while the barrel influence adds depth and complexity without overpowering the beer beneath.

The Story Behind The Beer

Good things take time.

Each year, we fill ex-bourbon barrels from Jim Beam and Buffalo Trace with beer in February and leave them to do their thing until November. The result is a rich, warming beer layered with roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak, with the barrels adding depth and complexity that simply can't be rushed.

Brewed for the colder months and released in limited quantities, this is a beer to savour. Pour it slowly, enjoy it slowly and appreciate the months of patience that went into every sip.
